The UK has 14 designated National Parks, the newest of which is the South Downs National Park which was given its status in March 2010. Covering three counties (Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex) and stretching across 140km from Winchester to Eastbourne, this area includes chalk grasslands and cliffs, sandstone covered with forest, ancient monuments and fascinating mythology.
