Hello and welcome to your gateway to the South Downs National Park! I’m Stacy; join me on my rambling adventures in this gorgeous area of Britain.
I enjoyed outdoorsing when I was younger, but never really pursued it. This all changed when I failed to summit Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Febuary 2023, despite managing it no problem in the past. I was so angry at myself for letting myself go; I was very unfit and lacking confidence from a previous knee injury. But, walking back down the mountain despite the anger and the shame, I loved the view, the environment, the clear air and the fact that my body hurt from the walk up. I wanted my body to be stronger and fitter to do this more.

Although I don’t live anywhere near mountains, I’m fortunate enough to have one of the UK’s 14 National Parks on my doorstep. The South Downs has become my new playground, fueling my addiction to walking, and it’s a pleasure to share my experiences with you.
